Frequently asked questions

What preboarding workshops are included?
Our three workshops have been specifically designed to support students to transition from study to employment. Within the BrightSparks program, our experienced facilitators will deliver three live online workshops to give your graduates the essential skills they need to thrive:
  • Communicating in the workplace
  • Taking initiative & time management
  • Transition to the workplace & professionalism
What does the BrightStart portal involve?
BrightStart pre-boarding portal has been created with the needs of final year university students in mind. As they finalise their degree, this online tool helps them look forward and prepare successfully for their transition into full-time work. This tool provides a range of learning experiences online which users can access when convenient to them, including:
  • Custom-built tools that facilitate online or face-to-face communication to build community in your cohort
  • A real time feed and private chat channels to allow grads to connect with future colleagues, mentors and your wider organisation
  • Materials to take them step-by-step through topics like building competencies, work communication, ethics and professionalism
Engagement with the community can also be used as an ‘early warning system’ to spot those that might be disengaged early and avoid reneges at induction.
What if my keep warm period is more or less than 6 months?
While BrightStart has been designed for a typical 6-month keep warm period, there are no hard and fast rules!

Have a 3 month keep warm period? We’ll give your grads the content and skills they need to thrive, without overloading them before their start date.

Have a 12 month keep warm period? We’ll ensure your grads have an abundance of resources to keep them engaged while they await their start at your organisation.
