Applying for an internship with BrightSparks is easy. Simply complete the online application form by 9am AEST Monday 16 September 2024. The application is short, all you need to do is answer one written question and upload your CV and academic transcript.
Yes, to be eligible for our internships, you need to have valid working rights until 2027, and be available to work full-time during the internship period. Your graduation date should fall between March 2025 and February 2027, and you should have a degree in the following relevant fields.

Yes, you can still apply for academic credit for the internship while getting paid for your work. However, you will need to liaise with your University yourself to confirm whether you can receive academic credit.
BrightSparks offers exciting internship opportunities with startups and small businesses in various industries, primarily focusing on IT, Computer Science, Data Science, HR, Marketing and Communications, Business, and Accounting. You’ll gain real-world experience, build industry-specific skills, and experience working in an office environment.
We will set you up for success. We provide extensive and practical training for interns, including communication in the workplace, time management, goal setting, and transition to the workplace. Through our online learning portal, and our partnership with Learna, you will have access to a range online learning materials to enhance your professional development during the internship.
Yes, BrightSparks believes in recognising the value of your talent and contributions. As an intern, employers offer a competitive full-time salary for the duration of the 12 week internship. In return, you’ll lend your expertise to real-world projects and learn real-world skills. Our aim is to provide you with a rewarding and enriching experience while supporting your career journey.
As part of the internship program, we have a pool of partner businesses from around Melbourne that interns are matched with for the internship’s duration. While BrightSparks orchestrates the program’s core components including, selection and formal learning, interns are matched with partner companies for the duration of their internship. The final list of positions and companies will be confirmed by the end of September, covering a spectrum of fields including IT, business, and commerce.
Rest assured, selected interns will receive a full-time wage for their contribution, mirroring a regular job compensation structure.
Absolutely! We welcome applications from candidates regardless of their location. It’s important to note that this program doesn’t cover costs related to relocation, travel, or accommodation.
